La Antimarcha (8 de marzo)
Action
In 2024, during International Women’s Day, together with the collective #TodasLasMujeresImportan and other women, we decided to make ourselves present at the March 8 demonstration by refusing to march. As a form of protest, we occupied public space through the body and stillness.
Seven women wore T-shirts that, when brought together, formed the phrase: “The silence of some is the cry of others.” The action concluded with a collective howl—a cry directed at the denial and hypocrisy of certain selectively self-proclaimed feminist discourses, starkly revealed since October 7.
The anti-march proposes non-movement as a political gesture: to be without advancing, to speak without slogans, and to point to that which is being silenced.
(Previously, before going out into the street, we held an activation in which we created a dreamcatcher, where each participant named a desire while a web of collective dreams was being woven.)
