Estoy convencida que hay un poder de transformación en las obras de arte. Ser artista es estar en constante enfrentamiento con uno mismo. Por medio de la creación artística puedo  transmitir mi visión y pensamiento que me conectan con la realidad y los otros. Hacer arte es un proceso reflexivo que me lleva al conocimiento.

La identidad es una búsqueda continua en mi trabajo que me sitúa en el mundo. Como mujer e individuo, me interesan  las relaciones sociales y políticas que nos constituyen como personas y que se van modificando conforme vamos creciendo. Mi investigación radica  en  los procesos de  transfiguración del sujeto al enfrentarse con su entorno.

En mi proceso, la experimentación es importante ya que me permite explorar los límites del control.  Me gusta trabajar con las manos, “lo hecho a mano “es primordial en mi obra. Ya sea pegar lentejuelas, pintar interminables puntitos o coser, me complace estar en contacto con los materiales y mi cuerpo es una forma de posicionarme dentro de mi propia humanidad.

Con una mirada cambiante mantengo un diálogo entre la pintura y el arte textil donde entretejo un

mundo posible que invita al espectador a re-conocerse y ser reconocido. por medio de instalaciones o pinturas voy tejiendo escenarios para que el pensamiento individual interactúe con la obra de arte  y así  generar un  sentimiento de pertenencia y/o comunidad.

I am convinced that there is a power of transformation in works of art. Being an artist is being in constant confrontation with myself. Through artistic creation I can transmit my vision and thoughts that connect me with reality and others. Making art is a reflexive process that leads me to knowledge.

​

Identity is a continuous search in my work that places me in the world. As a woman and an individual, I am interested in the social and political relationships that constitute us as people and that change as we grow. My research lies in the processes of transfiguration of the subject when confronted with his environment.

​

In my process, experimentation is important as it allows me to explore the limits of control. I like to work with my hands, "what is done by hand" is paramount in my work. Whether it's gluing sequins, painting endless dots or sewing, I enjoy being in contact with materials and my body is a way of positioning myself within my own humanity.

​

With a changing gaze I maintain a dialogue between painting and textile art where I weave a possible world that invites the viewer to re-know himself and be recognized, that through installations or paintings I weave scenarios so that individual thought interacts with the work of art and thus generate a feeling of belonging and/or community.
